The Sun has now become the fount of all knowledge now has it? Four days ago they said Pritchard had definitely signed a four and a half year deal with Huddersfield. I didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now. I still stick by £35k to £40k at most - the same as Mulumbu and Ruddy.

I'll wait and see if the Fail and ESPN are right, but I wouldn't mind that as a final deal, as long as we could use the money to bring in a striker and RB if Russ leaves.

Sky Sports now reporting the Pritchard deal is agreed but saying £10m with £2m in add ons think we should have held out for more but then that limits the time we have to spend the money

I'd be very surprised if that was true, Suffolk. Completely out of step with everything else. The £11m bid seemed confirmed, so a final deal would logically be above that, such as £12m +£2m.
 
It's not a mind-blowing figure if it is 11m + 2m for a player with Pritchard's ability however if it means we can keep Maddison then fair enough. Although Pritchard is more the finished article now, I get the feeling Maddison will be a huge star (and money-maker) for the future. He's nailed down for England stardom in years to come.

Webber left Huddersfield because the Board wanted to take away his total control. He came here because our Board gave him total control. If Pritchard goes it is his decision - nothing to do with Balls, Delia or the Board. We probably don't have to sell in this window but would Pritchard have given his best if we refused him a move? As far as the player is concerned I think he is making another mistake as I suspect that he will be back in the Championship next season.

Lots of logic, as ever, 1950. I'd like to see Pritchard stay, and from his point of view, the teams he has been touted with could well be where we are next season, so a little wait and see might be prudent.
We are showing signs of being a team with him and JM, would be good to see how it pans out with them both in the side. If we are outside the six in May, then we have to accept the inevitable.

If it's 14M. In this market. In the January Window which everyone agrees is highly inflated, and you don't get value for players, it's a sellers market. From a club who "don't need to sell any key players this window". For an Young talented English player, which means you usually have to add a 0 to any figure you think he's worth. That is not enough! He's worth more to us here, than to sell him for that! He's still under contract, and he and Maddison are the only players to create something and drag a loss into a win! (or more likely a draw).

If it's nearer 10M maybe rising to 12 with add-ons. That is f*cking mental.

Pritchard is a much better player, and more marketable player than Jacob. The market has ramped up a hell of a lot of notches since Jacobs move!
 
If it's true that Webber has total control over transfers , selling Pritchard for a £2m profit to his ex employers doesn't leave me with much confidence

Wildschut on loan to Cardiff for the rest of the season possible permanent move in June. So, what does the Cardiff manager see in Wildschut that DF doesn’t see? Supposed to be a winger but has been rarely used this season. Another rumour is that the Pritchard money will be used to get in a winger or two. So the lad at Kilmarnock, who has been rumoured to be a target, could be coming?

In one of the articles I read earlier in the week, the decision to buy OR SELL players is taken jointly between SW and DF and as you rightly point out 1950 it has ZILCH to do with 'twinkletoes Ed' or any of his other cronies on the board (sorry KIO!!). I would also imagine that if funds are needed to buy a player, then that would mostly only go as far as SS.
I would say that any of the teams from Huddersfield are in danger of relegation, so I'm in TOTAL agreement with your last sentence 1950.
Edit - I was very impressed with the interchange of play between AP and JM on Saturday and that same combination has certainly resulted in several goals since AP has returned from injury.

A side fighting for Promotion thinks he will be one of the signings to get them over the line. Yet we do t think he can improve us. Baffling.

Another case if us selling good players on the cheap, and bringing in bottom of the barrel replacements, which are still over inflated for the quality of the player. Woeful.

And for that reason. We haven’t taken them for enough. Losing Alex will really damage our team. I don’t think Maddison can keep this team up on his own, and if we gets injured or sold. We are screwed.
