Hearts are close to agreeing a deal to sign Steven Naismith from Norwich City this month.
According to Sky Scotland, Hearts are in talks with Norwich and have almost matched their valuation of Naismith.

Blimey, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when they tried to come up with a 'valuation' figure for him. I bet it'll make RvW's departure fee look quite lucrative!

I think this comes down to individuals. Most said we should ask for £15m. We probably did. Huddersfield offered £5m. We said no way. They then offered £11m and negotiations began. Mid-point would be £13m. £12m+£2m seems therefore reasonable.

It's not reasonable if we value him at £15m and then sell him for less. Unless of course ballsack was talking rubbish about not needing to sell? First bidder, early in the window, sorry but this does not constitute hard ball. What message does this send to our other players? Suggest you might like to leave cause the first offers come in and the club says ok then, what they offering? not what we wanted but being as you want to go, ok!

Bah!

They will all be emboldened by Huddersfields tickling of our belly over Pritchard.
And quite possibly, so will any player half-thinking about a move.
Having seen how quick and painless the Pritchard deal was to complete, they may well have their heads turned?
Maddison is odds on to leave, imo, with Wolves now linked but what about Klose, Pinto, Josh :emoticon-0112-wonde

£14m isn't a mugging, more of a bare minimum to me, the risk being that we end up with only £12m if as seems eminently possible they were to get relegated. That is a very poor price.

Bah!

The add-ons are probably based on both appearances and staying up. If they don't, then £13m would be the likely outcome. If they do, however, £14m would be the eventual outcome. Given that the Pink'un poll went for £12m+, that still seems a reasonable deal to me.

Klose may well leave if the offer is right, but any of the others and I'll join the 'wailers'! ;)

After Yannick rumoured sign on being only about £4m, now being said Pritchard was only £5m because we weren't promoted, should this have a bearing on our valuations on him?
When will someone come out to tell us Everton only got £6.50 and the last quarter if her bottle of sherry for Naismith........and still feel they robbed us blind!

Bah!

Just finished listening to ‘The Scrimmage’ on Radio Norfolk and Chris Goreham said that he had been ‘doing some digging’ re AP.
The fee is nowhere near £14M but £10M plus add-ons AND Spudz have sell on fee, we’ve been well and truly mugged !

I think I saw the big screen on eBay

Funnily enough the hydraulic motor that tilts the Carrow rd screen cost us more than the giant telly.

Right, so according to Balls, Stone, Webber and farke, we "don't need to sell during this window"
But when we inevitably do, it's based on breaking even, given that, as suspected, Spurs had a sell-on fee clause inserted. Well, you just would, wouldn't you, same as you'd ensure every player had a relegation clause written into any agreement <doh> <grr>
This reeks of the dire Doomcaster Days.

OK, I'll chip in (sorry General - couldn't quite make a pun of it) with my tuppence worth on the topic.
Yes, all and sundry - SW/DF/ Ed et al said we DIDN'T have to sell players this window, but as I (and others) have said, this was initiated by the player (or his agent) and basically we've been 'mugged' on the price!!! <doh> Well done Wagner and co - you MUST be 'laughing all the way to the bank!!!!'
IF JM chooses to follow suit then after the Sheffield United game, the only other first team game I'll be attending this season is the old farm derby and perhaps the last home game of the season against Leeds. Should JM also jump/get pushed, then IMO we're destined to a VERY long stay in the Championship.

Edit - I DREAD to think what price season tickets will be when the renewal letters are sent out next month and IF as many people as have said that they are giving up their ST actually make that decision, then a waiting list for STs will be confined to history. I'll also add that there are many like ILD who will turn up for all the home games (and possibly several away one) and I wish them well and who knows, NCFC MAY one day return to the PL (Promised Land/Premier League - delete whichever does not apply!!!)
Will plummet on Season ticket sales. It's so much money to watch that sh*t every week. Watching it makes you bored and angry. The club skimp on money bringing in useless players, but we are still suppose to spend £40-£60 all in, a games to watch them not turn up. Not try, not have a shot at goal. Apart from Maddison and Pritchard. They have sold Pritchard for f*ck all. So now it's £40-£50 to watch Maddison try and drag a draw out of this side against Burton.

No one wants to pay that money to have their whole weekend ruined. Even when we do keep turning up, we regret it. But if Sales go down, I'm sure the club will be up in arms about the lack of support! :emoticon-0108-speec
