Look to bring in:
Gk: interested in Butland again.
Winger: Redmond linked.
Striker: no clue.

Is the Butland thing that you are interested in us getting him or is there actually something to it?
Where is he in the Stoke pecking order. Is it 2nd or 3rd choice. If 3rd I'm sure he is better off as 2nd here than 3rd there. Especially as Begovic is young and Sorensen reliable experience (compared to Kelvin who is experienced but not reliable at PL level)

Always found it a strange move for him

He's another Redmond, we have been keeping a eye on him for ages.

I bet there are a lot of players out there that we have put a little red spot on to mark interest...only a very few will be lucky enough to come here. :) Things change and we move on.

Not moved on tho, Butland would be a great back up keeper. Saints badly need to look at bringing one in what with Boruc.

Daily Echo reckons ManC have a £20M bid lined up for JRod.

I'd call that a mere look-up-from-what-I'm-doing-and-yawn type bid.

Not nearly enough, me old fruit, but by all means keep trying. :)
£20m is fine for Jay.

I can see why they'd still be keen given the coach on staff, but is he going to go back to bench duty or loan him out with an option to recall him this time?

Are Stoke even going to sell him?

All the reports I'm hearing is suggesting that j rod will be off in January.....a little bird told me he didn't think he would be able to get back into the first team was his greatest fear. That he would be a bit player.....hmm if this is true would explain his reluctance to sign a new deal perhaps. However does he really think if he went to either city or Spurs he would be anything but....especially if Spurs have a new manager by then anyway. If Spurs don't get into Europe poch is out of a job. So Jrod had better take this all into consideration.

So that's Jay's new excuse to leave ;)

He thinks he will be better paid, eventually loaned out, and someone like west ham or sunderland will pick up his inflated wages when he leaves.

He's not wrong.

Jay would be better here in my opinion...to be certain of regular first team time, he would have to go to a midtable side. Here, he would be training with a top coach in a team going places. I don't think he will be moving in January...unless he is further on his rehab than anyone is letting on, but, if he is set on moving on, so be it in the summer. He could be good for us, but he isn't critical.

Not a big fan of Indi, didn't impress me on the world cup. Still very raw.

Likewise I don's see why we're linked with defensive signings, it's an area we have the best cover (Fonte, Aldeweireld, Gardos, Yoshida) and a lot of quality.
