Germany is Þýskaland in íslenska, I have no idea at all about the source of this word but Germany has different names almost everywhere.

Norway - I checked on National Rail Enquires and it looks OK on the Bedpan line (Bedford - Brighton) on the 29th.

You can get a train from Gatwick to London Bridge, tube to Euston (on the Northern line) and then train to Watford - about 2 hours total travel and around £20 depending on the time you arrive. You might even be able to get straight through to St. Pancras from Gatwick on the 29th and then get a much shorter Tube journey (1 stop) - WEB site does not include the 29th as being closed for cross-London trains on the Bedpan (there are evening and week-end and Easter holiday closures, but the 29th is not listed.)

Coffee is definitely required today. I have come to the conclusion that automated call centres are an invention of the devil. <yikes>

I hate them in English, press 1 if you want information on your bill, press 2 if your service is not working, press 3 if you wish to be rude to an actual person, etc. In French they are nigh on impossible as no matter how many times I ask, they will not slow down.:emoticon-0101-sadsm

got the blurb on the WL offer through this morning, it says I should seek advice from a qualified financial expert, so...what do I do?

Accept and cash in my (70) shares?

or hang on in the hope that there'll be a bidding war and that I hold the balance of power in the boardroom battle?

Any advice gratefully appreciated, the value of shares can go down aswell as up, your home is at risk etc etc

as you have a whole 70p at stake if you feel brave do nothing - you will end up with some worthless shares in a private company but who knows they may one day have "interest" value - but you have to ask youself if you can afford to risk that 70p (minus the cost of any postage)

I see that Rookery Mike has come up with the view that the new owners are regarded in a positive way within the club.
