Afternoon all,

I am knackered. Brothers stag-do on Saturday. Went go-karting in the day and I am battered and bruised. I can barely move my arms or do anything. The limited hours I was in bed on Saturday night were interrupted. Not easy sleeping in someone else's bed with 10 other people about 2 inches away from you.

Wake up early Sunday, and get off to the pub for some lunch. Then drive home and eventually get through the door by 5pm. Then have to start packing for the week ahead. Wake up at 6:30 today and cycle down to Europcar. Pick up the van, drive into London only to get stuck in an insane amount of traffic because of some eco-mentalists protesting against nuclear energy. Took 3 hours!!!! Pack the van up with exhibiting stuff and now have to drive back through the protesters, and up to the NEC, just in time for a press conference. at 4:30. So, if it takes another 3 hours to get out of London, that leaves me with 30 minutes to get from Watford to Birmingham. Easy.

This will then be followed with 3 days of standing up, talking to people I don't want to talk to about a subject I have no interest in, followed by a drive back into London, van unpacking, and a drive back to Watford.

Am I looking forward to my new job?...

I was very disappointed with the outcome yesterday although I did see a goal. I thought the Watford team played well with no luck at all and what was Scott Loach doing. As one of two players on a football field allowed to hold the ball why did he not. Brad Gazan did.
The one thing I noticed about the team in general were the passes which never ended in the right place. Either too soft or strong or went to the Hull City team.

Just got back myself - getting my wife to iron my legs straight after 16 hours on a bus!

Seems like we have the same observations AK - but to add a couple:

Why on earth did we give the ball to Hull straight from the kick off instead of keeping it? (Mind you, Hull returned the favour at the start of the second half which was very fair of them <laugh>

I know we've had problems on the left hand side of the pitch this season, but does that warrant trying to squash every player bar Loach on the right, leaving the other side totally free for the opposition to exploit?

My only other observation on a somewhat disappointing trip was that, for about 90% of the game, I had to remind myself that Boothroyd had actually gone. I was just annoyed that MM chose this game to revert back to hoofball.

Copious amounts of beer drunk over the weekend, so it wasn't a total disaster <laugh>

Well done to the travellers for all their efforts and their beer consumption <ale>. Was a real shame that the team could not reward your endevours with some of their own..<yikes><wah> - one of my biggest frustrations with Loach is that when he does collect the ball he rushes out as if he is going to release it quickly but then stops <steam>, - he then launches it to the opposite side of the pitch to our strikers!:headbang:<steam>
I hope there is a big improvement for Norway's visit - otherwise we will have to drown our sorrows bigtime :1980_boogie_down:

But hopefully it will not be drowning our sorrows, but celebrating beating the Steptoe's and little Miss W_Y's birthday....but we will be getting smashed anyway

<ale> for you Bragi and
