Just wanted to introduce myself!

Matt from MK - long time reader but thought I'd post. I work weekends so I can rarely get to games but plan on getting to some this year if I can!

Very excited for this year - exciting time to be a Watford fan!

Welcome MK, fairy new myself, nice people here & funny (as in comedians).

Well its sunny here but breezy, temp forecast to be Max 15C and I have cold hand with a fleece & jumper on at work. Temp over the w/e never went above 60F, coldest day of our cold summer. It was dry mostly, small mercy.

still no real sun here..... has been cool all w/e too.... unlike the south it seems

It was evry warm down here on saturday afternoon. I'm doing a charity walk in septemeber so went for a training stroll around Eastcote, Northwood hatch end and stanmore etc.. Does hatch End high street hold some kind of record for the most restaurants in one street? There's absolutely stacks of them!

Many years ago it used to have a good Chinese...called The Swan I think... We also used to go a lot a Spanish restaurant in nearby Pinner Green, though the name of it escapes me now. Eastcote had a lovely small Italian called La Famiglia, run by a lovely chap and his daughter. We went there for many years...fresh sardines, rack of lamb, panna cotta. A sad day when, after heart problems, he sold up and another bog standard Indian took its place.

Had a bit of a catch up on news this morning. Well news on here. Good to see some new faces in, how we did it when we are under a transfer ban I don't know....oh hang on a minute, most journalists don't have a clue.

The squad will have more time to gel now and most with a season under their belt. Remember the start of last season....a bit of a joke really.

I would like the defence shored up too, we let in too many goals last season. But this is only my opinion. We can't 'outscore' everyone all the time.

Dan mentioned Tommy and Nos out till Christmas...leaves us a bit bare at the back, doesn't it?

Still really can't complain. Wonder if we'll be relagation favourites again at the start of the season or if some journalists have got the heads dislodged yet....

The bookies odds I've seen (via the Millwall site, I think) put us as the seventh best bet fot promotion or a top six finish. Fans of other clubs rarely list us as a favourite for promotion. It seems they believe that now the "loophole" has been closed we have lost any advantage we had. That's fine by me.

Not a great fan of Twatter, but did see this from Jonathon Bond.

"Never seen so many poor singers in one night at dinner this evening!"

Suggests that there must have been some new faces.
