G'day all - warm and sunny up here again. My son set off yesterday on a practice run for the Duke of Edinburgh Award - a three day hike through the Grampians. It was cold and raining when he left, so he took extra clothes/waterproofs - wonder if any will be dumped today? Warm up day for the England cricket team, in preparation for The Ashes. If they allow Essex to score more than the 20 that Lancashire bowled them out for, will panic ensue?
Morning all. God it was hot last night! I could barely get to sleep! To make matters worse I have left my pj bottoms at home whilst im visiting family for 5 days. I cannot sleep if not in pjs. So I have been up since 5:25 and am paying the price for it.
Glorious summers day in this part of the world. Just the lightest of breezes to keep the temperature moderate. Today the Tour de France will be crossing the mountains in Corsica. If you enjoy superb countryside take a look at ITV4 this afternoon. The island is one of my favourite places in the whole of France, just a shame I cannot afford the ferry crossing every year. Went to the grand children's school last night for their end of term concert. It is amazing just how fluent they have become in the language after a year. If only I was their age again, I might find it as easy. Still last French lesson on Tuesday before the summer break. I will put in a special effort to do my best.
Lets hope there are no finish line accidents like yesterday. Someone clearly doesnt know the height of their bus! The picture is terrible and the sound is even worse!
Just wanted to introduce myself! Matt from MK - long time reader but thought I'd post. I work weekends so I can rarely get to games but plan on getting to some this year if I can! Very excited for this year - exciting time to be a Watford fan!
