I'd run round naked if I suddenly discovered I can run again!!!

For the record my scarf will be my treasured old circa 1977 one like the one I repainted onto Golden Gordon for my avatar.

(Crikey! Sudden thought! Hope no-one has been thinking that's me in the photo? <yikes>)

It's alright - we know it is your son

Yes- it's Michael Palin in the Ripping Yarns episode called 'Golden Gordon'. Gordon supports 'Barnstoneworth', who always lose. The original colours were red and white.
See it if you can. There are a few short clips lurking on Youtube.

Of course - vaguely remember it. Very clever editing on your part <laugh>

Evening all :)..thanks for the caramel latte Ak, better late than never!

Morning, Hornets! Thanks for the tea, AK.

Exciting start to super-weekend. We've found a place to do disability swimming. Going to try it this afternoon. I'll get some exercise on my leg and core muscles, a bit of aerobic too, and all with that lovely feeling of weightlessness, a respite from having to lug my old carcase around. They say I'll feel it for a day or two afterwards- should fine for a victory lap on Monday! :1980_boogie_down:

Hope you enjoyed GG, that sounds fab :)

OK you lovely people, it's that time of night again!

Night all <hug>

Night H <smooch>

night night, my lovely little canary! <smooch>

Morning all - just back after a very splendid day. Lot's of wine and good food - but the best was a long walk around the South Bank and The City. I just love London so much - I can stand on The Jubilee Bridge for hours and look at the buildings. I have been to a lot of cities in this world, probably not as many as some who contribute on The Nest, but London just does it for me!

Morning all from a warming up Bandit Country...hopefully it will get even better as we are supposed to be having a BBQ this afternoon as it's Mrs W_Y's birthday..

After the events of this week, I expect the bank-holiday carnival in bandit central will be nastier than usual - just one or 2 shootings and the odd stabbing as the local nutters turn up and express themselves!
