Just finishing my packing, heading off to IOW early sat morning. Got the 10am ferry booked for my return on Monday. Should give me enough time to get to Wembley. Going to be a good family day out, my dad, both brothers and my cousin all have tickets. COYH!!!
OFH, try speaking a little Catalan. That will get you amazing service. I did this in Barcelona a few years ago. I'd ordered a meal in a bar and asked, in what was probably very bad Catalan and an appalling accent, if there was any bread? Suddenly it was if I was their long lost cousin. The house wine I had was removed for something better and bits of tapas were provided free of charge. Best of all, mrs NZ was most impressed.

I'll get some exercise on my leg and core muscles, a bit of aerobic too, and all with that lovely feeling of weightlessness, a respite from having to lug my old carcase around. They say I'll feel it for a day or two afterwards- should fine for a victory lap on Monday!

Afternoon all from a horrible wet and windy day in Bandit country - cannot stop as we are off out up to London for a bit of a day out to celebrate Mrs W_Y's birthday. Going to do some wine tasting and then was planning a stroll around the city taking in some pubs before finding a place to eat early evening - might just stay in the first pub we find if the rain persists!
I'd run round naked if I suddenly discovered I can run again!!! For the record my scarf will be my treasured old circa 1977 one like the one I repainted onto Golden Gordon for my avatar. (Crikey! Sudden thought! Hope no-one has been thinking that's me in the photo? )
