Sky Sports News are really winding me up! The text at the bottom goes to FA Cup, and i anxiously wait our bit...but there's 3 or 4 different strips...about Spurs..and nothing about us at all, we don't even get a mention...i'm hurt! We are playing tomorrow, aren't we? lol

Other than the fact that they have been allowed to, have consequently progressed beyond what those regional leagues can offer and kicking them out would set a worrying precedent for others - God forbid that the FA could do what they want, to whom they want and when they want.

I'm not advocating that 'new' clubs be allowed in - simply that those already here be allowed to stay as long as they are capable. If Cardiff or Swansea were to go belly up a la Gretna and were resurrected in the same fashion, then yes - off to the Welsh league with them, no question.

But most of those Welsh clubs have not progressed through the English Leagues - 2 have at the moment, but if you looked at the same picture 10 years ago? What about the "famous 8", they have never made any impression. Also it is totally inconsistent - how can some of these clubs play in Eureopean competitions because of their progress in a Welsh Cup, but wish to play in the English league?
If Cardiff and Swansea went belly up, they would not go back to a Welsh League..they would just go into Admin like any other club. Thinking about it, Gretna is a fine example of a club going back to it's roots!

Morning all, lovely blue sky and the overnight frost has melted in the sunshine. Coffee went down well for what is likely to be a long day. ;)

I was reading elsewhere that Baz now has a Bently, Aston Martin and Range Rover. Can there be any truth in this? <yikes>

Morning all, had to de-ice the car this morning which took 15mins :( It was bitter cold. I will be driving down the the vic early, and might try to get to the ground 3 hours early to get some autographs from the spuds.

morning all! Buzzing for tonight, i don't know why! Scared and soo excited. Meanwhile, a lovely easy day to get through. I need to buy a doorstop, so off to B&Q i go in a min, and then back to get my nails done, if i could, i'd have them black, red and yellow for tonight! lol Easy day after that...hmm, i suppose it's pretty easy all round! I love my quiet Fridays :)

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak :)

Just seen Tommy Smith's goal is up for Goal of the week on SSN...darn it! ;)

Good morning all, looking forward to our easy stroll into the next round of the FA Cup. I hear that tonight's opposition play in something called the EPL, sounds like the league below Blue Square!!!! <laugh>

Anyway, hoping for a cracking game. I have booked the TV for tonight and we have ESPN HD. So no close ups on 'arry please, as HD can be very unforgiving!!! <laugh>

So who's going to be at the game today??

If the following is true then the Vic will not be a quiet resting place for retired gentlemen tonight. ;)

"Broadcasters ESPN are on alert ahead of Harry Redknapp's return to the touchline on live TV.

The Spurs manager, who has been in court all week for the trial at which he is accused of tax evasion, will be back in the dugout for the FA Cup clash against Watford on Friday night.

There are fears that Redknapp will face a torrent of abuse at Vicarage Road amid the ongoing case at Southwark Crown Court".

The Daily Mail.

I'll be there, can't wait. I won't be hurling abuse, but i'm looking forward to the noise at the Vic tonight, i think everyone will be up for making a lot of it!

A shame the club are sticking to their 'only with booking history' policy..much as i understand it, with just under 1000 tickets still unsold, it's beginning to not make much sense.

Could this be so that spud fans ( or QP HaHA fans ) won't be able to buy tickets amongst the watford fans.

Cold and sunny this afternoon

Shall just enjoy a post-lunch coffee before setting off to the pre-match meeting in the pub. Can we spring a surprise tonight? You have to think anything's possible...otherwise you'd stay at home with a bottle of wine, a nice meal and a good book. Come to think of it...no, it's unthinkable. I shall look for my car keys...

Wish I could have been there tonight but as I don't finish work till half past 6 and I am back in on days tomorrow and also the little matter of collecting the other half from the Airport tonight<laugh> I will try and find a pub on the way to the airport which is showing the game and at least watch the first half!

So who's going to be at the game today??[/QUOTE said:
I will be in my usual place and Little Miss W_Y will be joining me after all. She has been working in Watford all day and I will pick her up in Croxley on my way through.....COYH
