Cheers Washysafc. You make me feel younger if your first game was back in '69. Mine was early/mid 70s (can't remember exactly, but Bobby Kerr was in the team).

I can't remember a thing about my first game. Thing was we'd moved to Chester and I had a season ticket at Sealand Road, Chester's old ground, so I have loads of memories of games there. The only thing I really remember was how big Roker Park looked. That was when the Roker End was it's original size, of course.

One of my worst memories was the Mags piling into the area where the women and kids were and lashing out at any one in front of them.

The only time I have physically attacked another SAFC supporter was a guy about my age jumped on a Sheffield supporter walking along holding his sons hand and punched them both.
I sparked him, turned and a load of our lads were walking toward me and I thought oh ****!
I should have known better, :) they patted me on the back and said they would have done the same.

Getting in late, watching the match, then waiting for a lull in the noise to shout out your mates names.
Getting a reply and a rough direction and people allowing you through to get to them.
We will never see the likes again.

Standing against the wall surrounding the pitch at eye level, the players looked like giants when up close. :)
