Sorry for being late to add my two bobs worth but without reading thru this thread, l’m thinking the intro at Neil Diamonds Hot August Night concert with its slow build up still does it for me after all these years.

Intro riff on this has been sampled many times over, this is a great version, John Paul Jones knits this together brilliantly with 'young' Jason on the drums...
