Because sacking Wenger now is not guaranteed to bring us instant success. Why would you want to sack Wenger when he has one year left on his contract? There is no valid argument for this when the season is not even over yet.

When, oh when, will people realise that spending money is not going to solve this problem.
The only argument still remaining now seems to be "give Wenger time with money to make the difference."
I'll go out on a limb - Arsenal will win no more trophies with Wenger at the helm irrespective of who he buys, because the major issue with Arsenal is not their personnel, it is their Manager - his formations, his tactics, his motivation.

Depends on how you define "instant success". For me, a successful replacement for Wenger would be a manager who was prepared to go back to basics; i.e., playing players in their strongest and most natural positions; teaching his players how to get the most (or even something!) from corners; training his team to defend as a unit and concentrate for every second of the full ninety minutes, plus injury time and when playing against an inferior team at home who are doing nothing but defending for their lives, it is a very good idea to play two men up front.
In other words, doing the basic stuff that Wenger is no longer capable of and hasn't been for some time now. More to the point, I have no faith that Wenger is going to magically rediscover the elementary skills of coaching a team at any point in the future.
I appreciate your point about showing Wenger some loyalty but I would counter that we have shown him a great deal of loyalty over the past eight seasons and enough is enough.
I agree that spending money is not the whole answer but spending it on the right type of player is a better solution. I agree that tactics, motivation and Wengers inability to address these flaws have lead fans to turn on him through utter frustration but I don't think Wenger has been the main reason our team has been trophyless for 8 years but he will always take the blame because he is at the helm. It's clear we are missing the Final ingredient needed to win a trophy. At the end of the day the Personnel on the pitch are the only ones who can do it regardless of who is in charge.
If you look at Chelsea they had a group of players at one point that could possibly win trophies with my gran in charge. We look to the manager to guide us to glory but only the players can really make it happen.
The OP obviously does not buy "The Gooner" on a regular basis.If he did he would know that there are regularly articles in it ctriticising Arsene Wenger.
From all the posts here, this is pretty much spot on. I too thought that money was the issue, but it's clear as day that Wenger no longer knows how to win anymore. This season has highlighted it more than any in my opinion. He lost his edge years ago but due to his earlier success, people glossed over his poor tactics and team selections.
Wenger had his success with Arsenal, those days are long gone. The quicker he, and others realise this, the quicker Arsenal can go back to challenging the best in the league. We have a great stadium, plenty of money in the bank and financial security. It's time to move on with a new manager at the helm.

If he isn't resigning the question is who to replace him. I've seen Moyes, Klopp, etc... being thrown out, but I'd like to see Laudrup
How is that going to happen without dramatic squad improvement?
He has money available but just is'nt using it. (we also have a HUGE squad)

feel the squad is already good enough, but they need 1 or 2 more improvements. Also I think more emphasis needs to be put on defensive coaching. This season we have had the most individual errors leading to goals in the Prem (If half of those errors didn't happen we'd be right on United's neck). Its not easy, but it certainly is doable.
More like three improvements. (Top quality striker, reliable ball-winning midfielder and keeper good enough to keep Szczesny honest, at least.) Maybe Wenger needs to step back from having a hands-on role in coaching and delegate that area of the game to his staff? If you believe the rumours, at the beginning of the season, when it looked like our defenders appeared to be able to defend, Steve Bould was working closely with the players. It's said that Wenger was annoyed at the credit Bould was getting and told him to stop...

Very interesting article. Wenger uses the media better than any manager in world football. They say that Mandelson was the spin king, but this guy is a ****ing genius.

That article is a crock of **** mate. Wenger might not be perfect and he certainly has his tactical flaws, but to write off the whole issue about our finances since the staduim move and the break up of the invincibles as an 'excuse' is a ****ing ludicrous argument.
It's not a perfect article by any stretch but the author does have a point in the last section. It's quite amazing that nearly all of Wenger's teams from 2006 onwards have had the same defensive issues and the high number individual errors leading to goals each season which shows no sign of improving.
