A man and a woman who had never met before, but were both married, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a train.

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly... he in the upper bunk and she in the lower

At 1:00 AM, the man leaned over and said to the woman “Would you be wiling to reach the closet to get me a second blanket? Im awfully cold."

"I have a better idea," she replied. “Just for tonight, let's pretend that we’re married."

"Wow! That's a great ideal" he exclaimed.

"Good," she replied. "Get your own blimmin blanket.

Soham murderer Ian Huntley is close to death after having been taken off life support following an attack in prison, the BBC understands.

The 52-year-old has been in hospital since 26 February after being battered over the head with a makeshift weapon at HMP Frankland in County Durham. The high security jail houses some of the most violent inmates.

Prison sources said Huntley was found lying in a pool of blood after the attack. He suffered significant head trauma from his injuries.

Huntley was convicted of murdering 10-year-old schoolgirls Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells in Soham in 2002.

They have switched off his life support. Late news, he has passed away this morning.
