I was at the Chelsea '77 game when they must have had the majority of the crowd.
Yeah. I was there for that. Enjoyed our equaliser but couldn't even celebrate much as Chelsea were everywhere. Plus I came with two schoolmates who were both Chelsea fans and spent the whole journey back to Erith singing 'Can you hear the Charlton sing...?'

What did Everett do to get sacked? Everyone gets elusive when I ask.

He leaked commercially sensitive information about the club's coach operations [Valley Express?]

In truth, I have heard his working relationships with many people at Charlton were terrible. He is very arrogant and rubs people up the wrong way.

We all saw a brief snapshot of that in the carpark the day he famously grabbed the megaphone!

Citizen Smith, minus the charm.

The battle was re-enacted at Stamford Bridge in 1988 in the Play off final <laugh>

Plenty of Chelsea in our end, and plenty of fists flying when Paul Miller equalised for us. The amazing thing about that game was the Old Bill let us all out at the same time after the game - the walk down the Kings Road was an interesting experience.

I have always found Everitt a very jolly personable individual when I am exchanging small talk with him whilst purchasing the most popular Charlton fanzine ever.

I have even sold some in the past.

It seems pretty certain that Roland wants to sell, but that has been the case for months. He's not desperate for cash though, and won't be in a panic to get rid, like Ashley seems to be. Wasn't it early spring there was the last flurry of excitement when the Aussies were going to buy us, but SuperC said nothing was happening and he was proved right? So although I expect Roland to bale out sometime between next week and next season, I won't get excited about it until SuperC gives the nod to open the single malt.

A note of caution FHB ..... it seems Murray still wants to be involved with the new ownership <grr>

For god sake get Murray out the door!! :emoticon-0172-mooni

One thing is for sure- the day that Duchatelet and Meire leave this great club will be right up there in our history with the 1947 FA Cup win and the 1992 return to the Valley.

As ex Director Dave White recently said, Murray loves being around players and agents and his huge ego won’t allow him to let go at Charlton.

The deluded fool is still basking in Curb’s glory - what happened in the 10 years since he has blocked out.

The fists flying was when Chelsea scored their goal. I know this because I was right by it. A certain Charlton lady in motorbike gear was giving it some. The Chelsea lads were begging to be let out.
