Final round in Abu Dhabi before I start my Retirement in South Africa… just had to wear my teams colours for the last round.. it brought me luck… I won
Woods having a nightmare, should he retire? It's up to the individual but if I were him especially with his physical difficulties I'd call it a day before he does any more damage to his legacy. You don't need to retire just after your peak but it can tarnish things if you keep on trying when you're miles off the pace and getting worse every year.
Be great if McIntyre could get it over the line, comes across as a decent "one of the lads" kinda bloke
It is fun seeing such a packed, competitive and varied field at the top. Promises to be a great last day. In my own home golfing news, got through my hcap and scratch singles matches over the last week. Beat the club champ in our scratch match yesterday, who is off +2. Looking forward to a good summer of golf… hopefully.
Great golf mate. Less said about my round this afternoon the better. Mind you, up until then I have been hitting it sweetly. I blame the heat, and my late night watching boxing. Hoping also to have some good golf this year. Been enjoying Theegala this week. Cheering him and Hovlund today.
Pleased to see Schauffele win, nice bloke and it's about time. Dealt with the pressure well at the end. Also pleased that DeChambeau didn't win, good player but I'm not a fan.
Find myself rooting against the LIV players every time a major comes around so I'm delighted Bryson didn't win. I am pleased for Schauffele, as you say it's about time. I prefer a major which is harder though, give me a -3 winning score over a -21 any day.
Same here, I've never warmed to DeChambeau and LIV was the nail in the coffin. I think generally speaking the golfers I like on a personal level have had nothing to do with LIV, with the exception of Rahm.
Was rooting for Victor and Xander, and v pleased for the latter. Balls of steel to hold onto the win in that field, esp from the start… the unlucky, horrible lie for his second to the last - what a shot, then up and down. Very well played and thoroughly deserved
Finished it off like a champ didn't he. Really unlucky lie as you say but he didn't let it get to him and holed a nasty putt to win. Easy to see him doing it again in the future.
I’m getting into golf now, I like that Grace Challis lass https://youtube.com/shorts/g-XNzcA68wM?si=kbX6k6I7pWP8AEvS
What a stupid game this is. I started last year off 1.7.. So I went from 2 shots to 9 over 14 months. I'd never broke 80 since August last year and today I had a 72, net 63.. And I've had nothing but grief for winning the competition. It's been 10 years since I had a handicap this high and I hope it comes down sharp.
Great knock marra it’s still tough out there, the rough is quite harsh although I doubt you saw any of it scoring like that.
