Used to be, Australia ditched the OFC because of the lack of proper qualification spot (and possibly for more competition).
Just another example of football no longer being for the fans.

Reading a book called How To Win The Premier League by Ian Graham - it’s about the data revolution in football, which sounds like the dullest book ever, but it’s actually really fascinating and a great read (plus it confirms that Redknapp and Brendan Rodgers are bellends).
So has any other player had a red card ban lifted because of “previous good behaviour” before?
If you're talking about Ronaldo, he hasn't. He's had his ban reduced to one game.
Well, that’s just another way of saying games 2 and 3 of the ban have been lifted.
Either way the question still stands. Is there a precedent for this, or is he just really fortunate…..
