I've met a few politicians. The worst ones are Labour. Some of the Tory MPs and MSPs are actually nice people, believe it or not.
Of course the Tories are nice. Most Conservative voters are realistic, pragmatic, ambitious, aspirational, democratic, respectful and reasonable. The political left has hatred burning through it to its very soul. See your typical SNP voter as evidence.

Portillo is half Spanish - half Jock. The guy is also fond to playing a tune or two on the pink oboe so he's the epitome of the Tory party.
The problem with the Tories is when they get together. Individually, most of them are okay. It's when they get together and the right wingers shout loudest that the problems really start.
