Just come off the phone to my car insurance company. Renewal was quoted at £259.Tried Go Compare and got quoted £206 for same cover. Rang insurance company to discuss, and they agreed to match Go Compare. When I would not renew on line, they suddenly requoted at £188.
Just shows, you have to haggle

Needed some fuel this morning.
No queues at ASDA.
Panic over hopefully

Fuel stations regularly run out in Perth, Australia. However that is caused by the stupidity of the 'fuel cycle'. There are two competing blocks of fuel stations that either have cheaper fuel on a Monday or a Tuesday and then the following day bump it right up and it drops ~4c/litre each day until the Monday/ Tuesday depending on which fuel company it is. Then on those days it's a bun fight where everyone charges to the fuel station to fill up.

My local one had run out when I went shopping today, but on the way back were being refilled by a tanker and were open again so I joined the queue and refilled.... such a stupid system!

That cycle has become far more random on the Aus east coast since Covid and lock downs. It's now a game of chicken watching the price slowly drop and asking yourself has it bottomed out before filling up. Leave it too long and it rockets 50 cents / litre and you feel a bit stupid.

Believe it or not I was looking at the fuel cycle across states a few months ago and they were saying it can be a 2 or 3 week cycle over East
