Appointment booked for tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the recommendation. I stupidly attempted to paint 2 of my fence panels this afternoon. Took it easy, did it slowly. That was a f*cking stupid thing to do. Was in crippling agony for hours.
Just been for my weekly Lidl shop and bought myself a ceramic frying pan for only £9.99. Excellent value!
Yes, just got back, thanks mate. Said my lower back muscles are really tight and swollen, and have made my right leg a lot weaker than my left. Also, because of being cramped over, he said a lot of muscles further up and really really hard as a result. So I've strained them too. He poked and pulled me about. There was one point he made me lay on my side, push my shoulders away, my folder legs down, then he jumped his body weight suddenly on my legs. He didn't tell me he was going to do that!! I couldn't bend like that without a bad back! Typically I felt the best I've felt since Saturday, but I do feel a bit loser. Although a bit sore and bruised. He told me to take the rest of the week off work too, but I bargained him down to being able to do certain jobs as long as I don't do lifting bending a lot. Got to go back on Saturday ££££££££ Thank you for the Recommendation JM.
I'm a bit wary of osteopathic manipulation. I know it works for some, but I couldn't walk for days afterwards. Best thing for me was acupuncture. Not everyone's cup of tea, but helped me no end. If that's of interest, try http://physionorwich.co.uk/ They do other things too, though the one you went to has a good rep.
He mentioned Acupuncture for a future option if I didn't improve. I felt pretty ok before going to the appointment. It's just when I do jobs, I then go back to a 90 Degree angle. But If I lay flat on a hard floor for a while and bring my legs up, I can kind of stretch it out a bit today. If I had cancelled my appointment though, I'd still get charged. So went despite thinking, If I am careful for the next few days I'll probably be ok. He has helped a bit more, and his advice was good. I'll go back Saturday for a review, and Even if I still ache, I'll say I'm much improved, otherwise they will just keep booking me in and charging me. Although if I really F it up at work the next few days, at least I have that booked in.
Nurse Tiggy has been looking after me though. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I initially went because I could hardly walk and my right leg was much weaker than the left, so he sent me for an MRI scan privately. That showed a trapped nerve and said the best thing was to get referred privately again to the Orthopaedic Consultant etc. After about 2 months, i started to get better, so just avoided surgery. All told, it cost nearly £1,000, but it was worth it. I occasionally get 'tingling' in my right knee and my back plays up if I overdo it, but it's manageable!!
Russell Brand, Matty Morgan and Mr Gee are all back on live radio! Radio X Sunday mornings! So happy about that!! Missed their shows, still listen to their old podcasts regularly at work.
Dave - you need to find this guy and get him to help police this board - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39459831!!!
