Not too bad thanks, I've got a big appointment next Thursday with the consultant surgeon to discuss my options which will almost definitely involve my bladder being removed

 

It went for £28,000.

Blimey Dave, the guy who bought it after it appeared on the Antiques Roadshow suffered a pretty big loss then. as he paid £48K about 12 years ago!!! #bargain

That's NOT good news Dave and hope all goes as well as can be expected!!!

 

I have just seen the surgeon and things are not looking good. He would like to remove my bladder ASAP because the cancer is so aggressive but because I have a pulmonary embolism, I would not survive the operation.

I have to shake off the embolism and delay the operation for three months but he is afraid that by then it will have spread and not be treatable

I am between a rock and a hard place

No indeed Alex It leaves me in limbo with coming back up he was so emphatic at how massive an operation it is that recovery time would be quite lengthy before I was able to travel

 

Damn, sorry to hear all that Dave, can they do anything to expedite the recovery from the embolism?

He asked if I could use an exercise bike, but I told him that I really struggle to get my leg over these days. Seriously, I can hardly walk, I have to rest every 100 yards or so

Just read this - 'Boy, 14, charged over string of moped thefts in north London!!'

A teenage boy has been charged in connection with seven robberies made by a moped pillion passenger in London. Scotland Yard said a string of thefts took place within one hour in the Hornsey, Crouch End and Muswell Hill areas of north London on Thursday. The 14-year-old was found to have 13 mobile phones on him, the Met said.

The thefts took place between 13:15 and 14:15 BST on Thursday afternoon. #whenheshouldhavebeeninschool

Simple solution - ban all mopeds (yes I hate them and the annoying sounds they make).
