He started well, yes - against a completely abject Sunderland and, like you said, a poached goal against West Ham. Not so good the last five games.

Comparing them at International level is hardly fair, Okazaki comes from a country where football is far from the number one sport and much of the continental opposition is very poor. At least Nugent has taken to the field for England and scored - a lot of very good English players haven't achieved that.

As for the conspiracy theory - it's not that far fetched. I mean, he's not the first average Japanese player we've had is he?

Not one of your Uncle Nigel's best signings then!

LG - have you noticed that Vardy isnt being a headless chicken for most of the match these days. He has saved his pace for counter attacking, and it is this that has him as the Prems top scorer at the moment. It is Okazaki who is pressing the defender with the ball the majority of the time. Ranieri obviously likes his pace up front so Vardy and Okazaki are the natural 2 to pick. You can disagree with his selection, but the game plan for those 2 has resulted in a much more decisive and lethal Vardy. As an aside, I am amazed that we havent stuck with a back 3 as it proved so successful for us but it looks like Was may not be rated that highly and Benny may need more time. Fuchs I simply do not rate and am surprised we signed him.

Did you see Fuchs against West Ham in the cup Barwell? He was outstanding.

It's a fair point about Okazaki, he has taken the shackles off Vardy somewhat. However, as a striker, he will ultimately be judged on goals. Hopefully, that's will still come but, as Proud said, he probably could do with a rest.

No... you know Walshy has contacts in France.
He also has some in Germany and the rest of Europe too.

If you look at his stats prior to joining us, they are really good and definately looks like someone found through statistical scouting - that he was Asian and would help on the commercial side explains the high fee though (although I am still can't get my head around £8M for Ulloa...)

Would we have gone down without spending £8m on Ulloa though? His goal stats tells we would, and that £8m saved would have cost us something like £130m. So, despite my initial misgivings, a great piece of business I think.

We had a bid accepted for a young Danish CB who couldn't get a work permit and was heavily linked for a French RB who went elsewhere - it is not like we weren't looking for any defenders.
