It clearly is too early to say much about the new signings (only Okazaki has played a decent amount) but it's quite clear that we have improved, they just need the time to prove it.

While I think that the start is more down to the previous manager than the current one, Ranieri should be commended for realising that we've got a great thing going here. and keeping the continuity and confidence.

Here's hoping it continues.

Absolutely. As I said, the best thing Ranieri has done so far is to NOT live up to his nickname.

It must be quite tempting to do a bit of 'squad rotation' rather than 'tinkering', when you see some of the players on the bench. Should be quite a strong side that we field against Bury!

It must be tempting to indulge in a bit of 'squad rotation' (as opposed to 'tinkering'!) considering the quality of player we have on the bench. We could be fielding quite a strong side against Bury next week!

I think the Bury game will be a chance for some of the newbies to claim a stake.

Anyone think we could have a crack at winning a competition like the league cup? Obvious prem survival is the main thing but how long do you just focus on that? With the strong start we've made and when the competition finishes, I'd like us to. It's not like the FA cup where it all happens at the business end

... would like to think so.. comes down to the squad again last season at this stage we might have included the likes of James Pearson in a League cup game ...

I think we should give it a bash. I really don´t think we are going to have to worry about relegation this season, atleast I hope not. We have a very good squad so we could mix it abit on a Tues or Wed night. Yeah wouldn´t it be nice to see City at the new Wembley ?

Robbie Savage had a cheeky dig at Aston Villa ahead of their League Cup tie with his former club Birmingham.

Im sure everyone has seen Diego Costa's antics against Arsenal and I was just wondering what the general opinion is on here of him. I love the way he plays the game but I think he did cross the line yesterday. He plays on the edge and does cross it a lot but I think he need someone like that in your team. Jamie Vardy is aggressive in his play and if you took that out his game you would lose the X factor in his play.

When we play Chelsea I would love to see Costa V Wasilewski. Wasyl would love to play against him and would be more then happy to join in. I know where my money would be on them in a fight

I wanted to ask the same Q yesterday.
He gets far to involved in non football antics. It´s getting in the way of his football hence him not putting the ball in the back of the net, but he´s CFC´s problem.
I must say ref´s need to get a grip of him though.
I had him in my DREAM TEAM last season, ain´t this thank ****. Got Pellé & Hazard though...... both on the ****ing bench this week end. 20 odd points lost. :emoticon-0121-angry ARRRRRR.

Lewandowski hits 5 goals in 9 2nd half mins for Bayern in the bundes liga. A hat trick in just 4 mins & his 1st 4 goals scored in just 6 mins. & this was v Wolfsburg who are 3rd aswell.

Agreed here, no place for this stupid winding up and antics in the game.

It's pathetic, it really is.

Costa seems to be more concerned going around winding people up and kicking people, than actually playing football.

It's disgusting, and a sorry sight of where we are in todays game.

Im on Savages side here, it basically helped his team win a game and they were desperate for it. We all saw Robbie do it for us and it gave him a different edge as a midfielder, arguably taking him to higher clubs than his ability matched.

Helps us anyway if they have suspended players <ok>
