We seem to be trying to accommodate both Tielemans and Maddison which, whilst understandable, in terms of their talent, doesn't necessarily give us the best balance ... and neither of them are particularly good defensively...
We might as well give the opposition a goal kick whenever we get a corner. At least it would give us a chance not to get caught on a breakaway. And every time the opposition gets one you're just expecting it to end up in the net. Our defence is like a sieve. Even Brighton carved us wide open and should have been 2 up before we scored. Son at Tottenham must be rubbing his hands in expectation. I can't see much joy over the next 3 games unless something

Maybe we think it would give too much advantage to those teams not in European competitions? Agree, it would be nice to know the thinking behind that decision. One for Stringer to ask Brenda?https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...five-subs-but-allow-two-more-players-on-bench
We have apparently voted against having 5 subs. Why given our European ambitions?

I'm fine thanks, Harborough. Obviously a touch of premature submission. Ask my wife about my history in that department.Just checking on the welfare of BucksFox, who seems to have finished mid sentence![]()

Given Klopps whining, how many did he use against Spurs? 0.https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...five-subs-but-allow-two-more-players-on-bench

Probably thick enough that he thinks that is a way of making a point but it does the opposite! Surely making a point would be make the subs and play out with 10 men and make that argumentGiven Klopps whining, how many did he use against Spurs? 0.

Maybe it's all that ducking and diving to avoid getting caught breaking Covid rules while still enjoying the 'benefits' of being a celebrity?Probably thick enough that he thinks that is a way of making a point but it does the opposite! I know the argument is that they don’t feel comfortable making the subs in case of injury but another games goes by where he didn’t need to make one for that reason either....
Even looking at our own injury problems since COVID, not many I can think of seemed to happen in games, they seem to be in training whether at home or on international.
They were in a back 3/5 today?Great win. Evans and Fofana look so much more comfortable in a back 4
I think it was meant to be a back 4 but Ndidi did drop back a lot. They were in a back 3/5 today?
Great win anyway, not that it felt comfortable at the time as Kane, Son and Bale could have changed the game in an instant but after the event I think that was an extremely comfortable win, not quite West Brom and Brighton levels but not far off. Great to see Casagne back and the front 3 looked threatening when we attacked.

Was good to see Amartey back as well.

Ah you could be right. I do think in a back 3 Justin as the RCB is possibly our best defender. Immense.I thought
at the start
Fofana/Evans/Justin - with Albrighton and Casagne as wing backs and then Amartey into the back 3 and Justin to wing back after the change?
