This weeks The Rest is Football podcast with Gary Lineker features an indepth interview with Kasper. A really good listen.

I genuinely still find it a bit odd, when I see our match day team that he's not in goal.

We should get extra if he's taking his back room staff.
Although, it's really just pennies against our deficit :(

One thing that I think might go in our favour is that we are likely to be 'judged' in tandem with Manchester City - whilst I think they would have been more than happy to throw the book at us in isolation, whatever they now do will have to be in proportion to Citeh's 'transgressions' ... so we might just dodge a few bullets as a result <whistle>

Let's hope so.
And, don't forget by the time we've all paid our £25 for a season ticket card, (being environmentally friendly and replacing the one we already have in our possession) the club will be quids in <laugh><whistle>

So now Enzo has officially left that’s one issue that was dragging on sorted. Another is the FFP ruling. It’s being suggested we’re on for a record 15 point deduction, maybe that’s justified if we’ve broken the rules to such an extent. If this is what transpires, next season in the prem is going to be a long one. The best approach I can see us making is to build for the 2025/26 season which will inevitably be back in the championship. We should seek out a manager who has the credentials to get us out of the championship and tell them they have this season to build the nucleus of a squad ready for the championship next year. We have plenty of young talent emerging, Nelson, Braybrooke, Alvez, Cannon, Stolarcyk, Ewing, Marcal Madivadua. They should be given as much game time as possible together ready for a crack at the championship to give them Premier league experience in readiness for what will hopefully be a speedy return. I don’t see us attracting many quality players with our predicament pretty much already sorted, and I wouldn’t waste money on journeymen players who are only in it for the money. If we keep the likes of Vardy, Coady, Winks, Perreira and Justin around to give them some guidance this year, hopefully they will be ready for the championship next season. I’m afraid it’s going to get much worse before it gets better.

Agree on the sentiment but the cart is slightly in front of your horse. Lets wait and see what the penalty is. This should all be done and dusted pretty quickly. Transfer window open in a couple of weeks which gives us two more weeks to unload and lessen whatever the penalty is. Glass is still more than half full.

Vestergaard had also signed an extension. 3 years! Seems a bit rash. Rudkin as generous as ever <doh>

Albrighton, Iheanacho, and Praet leave.
Talks ongoing with Ndidi.

Ignoring potential signings for now - based on current squad - this would be the line-up I'd quite like to see / be given a chance next season - with wing backs able to step into midfield and with JJ covering if they do ...

Hemandsen
Kristiansen
Faes
JJ
Souttar
Pereira
Ndidi / Soumare (depending on who's here)
KDH
Fatawu
Cannon / Vardy
Mavididi

Thoughts?

Looks good Vestegaard signs a three year deal and you don’t select him. Who on earth thought that was a good idea?
The Ndidi/Soumare position is a bit of a dilemma. Ndidi doesn’t quite seem the player he once was and Soumare was a liability last time we were in the Premier League. Would you not have Winks in there somewhere?

I’d have

Hemandsen GK

Kristiansen WB
Justin LCB
Coady CB
Faes RCB
Pereira WB

Fatawu RM
Winks CM
Dewsbury Hall CM
Mavididi LM

Vardy CF
