... alright buddy ... settled on a board name that might last you longer than a single season I see? <laugh> ... he was also a bit of a Leicester City legend by the way ... although before my time, I hasten to add <laugh> ...

... how's life under Don Corleone?

The name should last a bit longer aye :) Cellino is doing everything I wanted him to do tbh, got rid of a lot of **** players (plenty still to go but its a work in progress) and replaced them with young and hungry players.

Selling Ross for that amount of money was mugging Fulham off big style :) interested to see how this season goes but really think we will challenge for the title next season.

The Don. Ey up me duck. Yeah top mate hows you ?

sounds as a pound will be watching you lot and hoping you stay up this season think you have a solid squad and seem to be making good additions

Im watching Leeds v Brighton n trying my hardest not to piss myself at how bad we actually are!!!

Wow that lasted long

@SkySportsPeteO: Dave Hockaday on brink of being sacked by Leeds in wake of 4-1 defeat to Watford. #lufc

This.

You must've enjoyed that!

I wouldn't say enjoyed ... we do need three teams to finish below us however ... I take some comfort from the pace we have in our side ... we troubled Chelsea yesterday and with better finishing we could have been in front ... contrasting that with your display today and, indeed, the Sunderland v Man United game, and it does strengthen my conviction that we can compete in this league and, all things being equal, have every chance of surviving ...

Interview with Chris Wood

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/10462475/NZs-Chris-Wood-primed-for-a-big-EPL-season

All Whites striker Chris Wood believes he is ready to make a regular impact in the English Premier League after dodging a bullet in the summer transfer window.

Speculation had been rampant that Leicester City would either loan out or sell the 22-year-old, but links with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace amounted to nothing as Leicester kept the faith.

''Until I got the all clear and the backing from them that I was actually staying, then it was a bit up in the air,'' Wood said from Doha tonight, where the All Whites are preparing for Tuesday's international against Uzbekistan.

''But they called me and said that 'we're keeping you, we want you here and playing in this league with us.' I feel ready, I feel this is my time to step up and test myself at a new level.

"I feel this is where I can be playing if I play to my ability and show that I'm willing. I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead.''

Wood made his EPL debut in 2009 for West Bromwich Albion, becoming the fifth Kiwi to play in the league when he came off the bench against Portsmouth.

But a series of loan stints ensued with time at Barnsley, Brighton & Hove Albion, Birmingham City, Bristol City and Millwall before a permanent move to Leicester.

Wood scored his first EPL goal last month, a vital late equaliser off the bench in Leicester's 2-2 draw against Everton.

''It's always been a dream of mine to be playing in the Premier League and it was nice to get off the mark, scoring, because that's what I should be doing.

"It was a nice achievement but now it's a big season ahead of me ... I'm just happy to get my head down and focus on the season ahead and try and get my name in the starting XI.''

Wood - who has scored 12 goals in 34 appearances for New Zealand - spent ''Manic Monday'' at home watching the drama of the EPL's transfer coverage on TV.

''I was in contact with Leicester the whole time. There was no surprise, no hidden agenda that they were looking for another striker. If that happened then my position would have been a very tough one.

"But it was a decision I made in the middle of the window, when Wolves came in. I sat down with my dad and my agent and said 'where do I want to go from here?'

"I came to the decision, before I even spoke to Wolves, about staying and fighting and that's what I want to do.''

I think we might get used to playing with a target man and so will play himself into being the direct replacement for Ulloa
