Do you prune your raspberry bushes back in winter?

Plenty of wild Raspberry bushes when you have a stroll around the countryside in Scotland .

No mate, I’ve never bothered. I might have to this year, as they’re now getting to about as tall as I want them. All of those bushes came from about 4 small plants from a mates allotment about 5 years ago.

Yeah, our raspberries did really well for a few years without me having to touch them, but this year there hasn’t been much fruit from them yet, so I may trim them back next winter.

I'm new to this gardening stuff and kill most plants (indoor). Never been tempted by the artificial stuff though, it's pretty good nowadays but you can still tell.

A house somewhat nearby, about 10 minutes walk away, has had artificial turf laid down for the front lawn. From a way away it looks like the most pristine, well kept lawn but it's just too flawless, way too green and obviously fake, especially as you get closer. Even from far off it only fools you for a moment
