In 2 days time I will be setting my alarm for the following morning No doubt this thread will hopefully soon have a list of comparison prices for release day
went to asda last night, spoke to woman behind the counter and was told i couldnt pre-order as they ran out of the pre-order boxes (u kidding me?), so i said i know they have done special prices at midnight last 2 years and is it worth coming down for the midnight release thursday? she said she could not "officially" confirm WHAT the price will be on midnight release. so i rephrased the question - is it worth my while to come down to the midnight release rather than wait until the morning. "yes" il be in asda late thursday night then! im not 100% sure if they will do £25 like they did last year but even if its a price of £30 its vastly cheaper than everywhere else!
I know someone that works at Sainsburys so I am in the middle of trying to contact him over what the prices will be All I know at the moment regarding prices is... Asda - Pre-Order Price is £35 for FIFA 12 Special Edition
exactly - thats for the special edition, therefore the normal version will likely be a few quid cheaper! either way il have my copy midnight thursday - then try to get to sleep before playing all day friday
I will be setting my alarm tomorrow night so I can go and get it at 9am on Friday morning. Hopefully by then I will know of more stores and which one will be the cheapest
Yep so the cashier told me, don't know if it's correct or not tho would think they would try and compete with asda.
Don't think there's much point trying to compete with ASDA. They'll stick it at a normal price for people who can't be arsed to search out an ASDA and just want the game, it makes sense.
Another way of looking at it is that the cashier could be lying... I believe at Sainsburys it is £35/£40 to pre orderat the moment so maybe just trying to push through a sale... Well I live near Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda so I will be buzzing at 8am on here waiting to see if anyone can shed any light on where the bet place to go to is...
im sure theyre not lying - its more likely no-one is allowed to say until release. plus as Dan said - sainsburys are not as likely to compete with Asda as Tesco are because their customer base is not centered around the more price concious - which is exactly why asda would go for the lowest price, its their culture to provide these things for the lowest price out of them all - particularly an area which they are growing (as in their technology depts). spot the marketer.
So where is the best place to get fifa for the cheapest and the earliest ASDA? come back from cardiff to find that my FIFA 12 TRIAL had expired!!!!
At the moment I am going to guess: Asda will be the cheapest Tesco will be cheap but only when you spend £40ish... Sainsburys will be the most expensive at around £35 THIS IS ALL A GUESS BASED ON PREVIOUS YEARS!
Im hoping for mine in the post today, but the postman is being as slow as ****, he probably hasn't even got it LOL< I am hoping he arrives before 12 so I at least know.
