It's the same here, you'd hardly know it's going on. As Waterford is an ancient Viking settlement and the tourist angle promotes this I'd expect a lot of Danish flags to appear in the next day or so......

Also no doubt rte will be rooting for Denmark as well....

As you may be aware, I am Welsh, but will not be cheering for the Danish, the Italians or the Spanish. I am in a proud, mixed-race marriage :emoticon-0136-giggl - she is English and my sons were born in England. Can occasionally make it a little awkward during the 6 Nations, but that's only one game per year.

Just saying.... C'mon Engerland

That was hilarious and reminds me how different a tournament felt almost 2 years ago. Almost no honking in Germany, no car flags, no atmosphere all around (apart from the fact that the German team was sh#t#).
The Germans haven't looked like number 1 ever since the 2014 World Cup to be honest (despite all the predictions that they would dominate for years to come). But the same applies to the French since 2018 (they looked like World Champions on the day of winning it but that was it). The same decline happened to Spain - also Italy after their 2006 win. The list could go on and on - it appears a natural law that World Cup winners will be crap 4 years later. The same is true of the Euros which, despite the small number of elite nations in it, has only been won by the holders once. Actually winning these tournaments means glory for a day but then decline afterwards.

Not I suspect in England’s case, if they do win it the age of this squad and the depth of talent in it means, I think, they may still be some years from their peak, depending on how they are managed and set up. Spain won 2 consecutive Euros and a World Cup in between, hardly a one day peak. Not saying England will do the same, but it’s not out of the question. As long as we win something soon, that’s fine.

Looking forward to tonight, two teams with distinctive styles which I don't think either will compromise on. Spain don’t have the same talent in terms of personnel that they used to and miss loads of chances. They also score a fair few. Italy have been a revelation, but have they got enough gas left in the tank, especially without Spinazzola, who has been sensational.

I have a couple of half Spanish nieces and a nephew, Madrilenos and fans of Atlético. But balls to them.

FORZA ITALIA!!!

Apart from France my favorite places have always been in Italy hence I do know quite a few people over there. Football wise I have never supported Italy though, never had any interest in their teams (Lega Serie A) in contrast to Spain but still hope that Italy will meet our team in the final - I guess they suit us better than Spain. My heart is only for England and tonight my only wish is to watch decent football.

Have to admit I've been converted by the new attacking Italy under Mancini. I'm rooting for them tonight.

Has the potential to be a cracker.......lets hope we're not disappointed.......

Spain in white tonight.........

Bit daft as no colour clash but I believe red and blue can be confusing to peeps who are colour blind........

Italy have been outstanding.
However, IF England get to the final, I think they'd have a better chance against Spain, so come on Spain!

Spain implementing a high press.......and nearly broken straight away....

Italy on front foot.....
