Just to give you a heads up. The rules for volunteering at Euros has just changed.

An hour ago we just had to fill in a firm staying we had no symptoms, had not been in contact, and were feeling okay.

Suddenly we need to be vaccinated and,/or have a negative lateral flow test.

Something is changing.....rapidly

Vaccine Passports required. I had 30 minutes heads up to get mine sorted before announced.

Still may take 7 days to sort out, my first job is in 5 days...as is England's first match !!!

You also need one of these to attend the games I think.

So I have spent the day on line training...first shift Monday.

This involves watch endless videos of driving to Terminal 2 and 5 to pick up and drop off.
The excitement is relieved (see what I did there) as videos showing where the nearest toilets are at Terminal 2 and 5.

At the end of the videos they play Football coming home 2021, and the added footage of Foden and Grealish has made me really believe.
Perhaps this time.... we can do it

I reckon 80% of the squad could use the toilets at Terminals 2 and 5 pretty faultlessly already, as long as they were guided there in the first place, and Gareth is working hard on the remainder (to be fair Foden, Sancho and Bellingham are barely out of nappies, and John Stones usually looks perfect but sometimes misses the target wildly) so you could be right. Though the French have a lot of experience in the pissoir department.

Right, who is watching Italy v Turkey?

I love international tournaments, especially the group stage, so really looking forward to the next few weeks. And the pictures of Rome on the telly have made me want to get on a plane again.

Forza Italia!

I can live without opening ceremonies though. Get the footy on, it’s been days since the last game! I need my fix!

WTF was the deal with the little car delivering the ball for kick off? Football is such a sell-out these days, where's the need for that? Even my Mrs was asking what it was all about, and she hates football!

Quite enjoyed the little car. Nessun Dorma is always nice but felt a bit Italia 90. I’ll enjoy the month but it’s not the same without the identity of it all being in one place.

I didn’t realise that Italy, with a squad which, Jorginho aside, would not I think get into any of the top PL sides, are unbeaten for 27 games.

They are playing very neat football and gradually turning up the pressure on Turkey. Mancini has done a good job with limited resources it seems.

That's probably the kiss of death for them.

The goalkeeper certainly would.

I didn't expect much from this game, and I've been proved right so far. Italy don't seem to have much of a clue how to break the Turkish defense down.

That'll help.
Italy are very tidy, and I’m impressed that they are still pressing when a goal up. They’d be a different prospect entirely with a Kane or a Lewandowski though, no real cutting edge and the final ball is a bit naff too.

The Turks seem to have no idea how to create even a glimpse of a chance, pretty supine opposition. If Wales get a result against Switzerland and attack Turkey they should get out of this group, but the winner of the thing won’t be one of these teams I think.

Yeah, Turkey are very poor.

2-0 now and may well be more before long, but I don't really see Italy as being a potential winner of the tournament.

Wales could well get out of this group. Come on you Taffs.
