Well in relation to Euro 2016, I'd suggest that it might have something to do with Platini being UEFA president when the bidding process took place. Afterall, he's in no way corrupt at all.

Why should you feel like that.? They did magnificently. It's comparable to England winning the competition. You wouldn't think it would be over-the-top if that unlikely event ever happened, I presume. The Welsh can do what they please.
