I can see why they'd want a parade....to show appreciation. This is a massive achievement by Wales....a semi final in the European Cup. I'd have been pleased if England had achieved that and we would surely have predicted we would do better than Wales. Let them enjoy it and I hope they build from this and do well in the WC qualifiers.

Why should you feel like that.? They did magnificently. It's comparable to England winning the competition. You wouldn't think it would be over-the-top if that unlikely event ever happened, I presume. The Welsh can do what they please.

Im I glass half empty person, so in my eyes their basically celebrating failure to win a tournament they set out to win. To me that's just rather odd.

As much as I congratulate Wales for having a great tournament and passing expectations etc...

I find this whole home coming celebration bus parade/ stadium concert a tad weird.

Agreed. Small time mentality, just like when they cheered us going out.

To be honest, I find it embarrassing and completely over the top. If they'd won, or were even runners-up then fair enough but for reaching the semis...

Put it this way when Saints get to the semi final of the Europa League and in the highly unlikely event that they are knocked out, I would be a bit embarrassed if they had an open top bus parade because that was their best achievement to date. Save it for when we win.

Nobody is saying that they can't do it just we don't understand why. As for being comparable to winning it that seems a bit patronising. Who's to say they won't win it one day?

OK then. I do understand why.

I agree. It's like accepting that this is as good as it's ever going to get. They did brilliantly, but it ended with a rather tepid performance against a well organised team, which didn't have 3 central defenders missing (unlike Belgium). Wales should be looking for even better(and also get out of the celebrating England failure mentality).
