Hmm. No Gomez, home support and they'll have their first choice defence back. Not a certainty.
Yeah, but to concede 2 goals to Iceland is pretty bad, only the very poorest of teams in the tournament have done that.
They didn't give a **** - it was 4-0 and 5-1 at the time. Germany have no Hummels, no Gomez and France are at full strength and have home support. I fancy France.
I was most unkind towards the French at the beginning of the tournament but I am glad they have shoved my words back down my throat. I have to admit they are a good team and are a delight to watch.
Tonight we saw a demonstration on why France are a vastly superior team to England in every shape and way. They allied intelligence to their undoubted skills, something that England have been lacking since Bobby Robson was the manager of England.
As long as the likes of Raheem Sterling and Jack Wilshere spend more time acting and looking stupid, then England will have no chance of ever challenging at the serious end of tournaments like this again.

Confidence, and the lack of it, can never be under estimated. It can turn world beaters into the ultimate losers once it takes hold. But this has become a disease which has infected English teams throughout the eras. Some England player, from the past or the present, has got to speak out openly now, because it is killing the whole England setup. Rio Ferdinand mentioned something the other night about England teams collapsing during this era, His era, Shearer's era, and Lineker's era, and he was getting nods of agreement. And England teams were a bit susceptible to it before then. It's more than bad form. It's a shocking insecurity in themselves as individuals and as a collective. And it's not the media's fault. Foreign players get it just as bad, if not worse.
Isn't it ironic that the least popular manager of recent times, Fabio Capello, has the highest win rate. Yet they played with fear under his managership, during a tournament. Eventually he walked out on them and frankly, looking back, I don't blame him.
This is why The Sun can rightfully be regarded as a rag. It's red top tabloid gutter press, the kind that the country's most stupid take seriously.
On a different note, I agree with the above comments on France. They are a very entertaining team and play some lovely football. A Wales v France final would be appt for many reasons.

I'd like to make two points:
1. This is why I didn't want a referendum
2. The country doesn't have any stupid people.
I just haven't got time for any newspaper apart from the Telegraph, the rest are full of stories about celebrity tits, demon immigrants, how Corbyn is the best thing since Che Guevara or how evil people are who work hard to earn themselves and their families a decent living. Rant over...

If remain had won the election I would have seen it as an opportunity missed....but it wouldn't make me assume they were stupid. I would consider that they had different priorities. And I would recognise that everyone has the right to an opinion. Amazing how having a referendum result come as a surprise to some has turned them against democracy. Some would have voting limited to those of proven education and a lower age group....I thought universal suffrage was the ideal. (Not aimed specifically at you, TSS).
