So Niger has 4 times the fertility rate of the UK
UK income per capita US$41,499
Niger income per capita US$1,077
So the UK has 38.5 times the income per capita of Niger

I realise there are lots of reasons why UK has a much better income than Niger but I would suggest that having so many children is not helping their prospects.

I have always said Star Trek would the ideal future for mankind.
Not sure it will ever happen, but Star Trek is set like 2000 years in the future any way :)
We are more likely to end up like Mad Max, the way we are going.

Do they have access to contraception?
Have they ever even heard of condoms? Or the pill, much less afford them if they did.
When you barely have enough to eat, Johnnies aint gonna be top of your shopping list.
I know its a vicious circle since more kids = less money to go around, but thats the reality.

As usual I disagree with you.
They have a simple attitude and as much as some people want us to accept people from all over the world and pay for their lack of responsibility I don't think it's a good idea. If they want to have control of their own lives then they should be more responsible and not try to hitch a ride on the back of people who are more responsible.

One can hope. I doubt we'll ever achieve it though as there will always be a significant minority of xenophobes and small-minded bigots like @petersaxton around for civilisation to ever progress to this level of free thinking. Any apolocalyptic future like Mad Max would most definitely be as a result of numbnuts like that, and they will most probably get their way.

BTW it was 200 years in the future under Kirk (23rd century).

They dont have to use contraceptives. If the men dont cum when they are inside the woman's vagina they wont get pregnant. It's not like there aren't plenty of other places to cum.

You really don't have any empathy for anyone, do you?
Blaming people for being born into a third-world country with poor education and no infrastructure isn't very helpful.
It doesn't achieve anything.

The most effective way to prevent immigrants coming to the UK is to make them not want to.
If more countries in the world were in a better position, then that would be beneficial.
Ignoring these issues doesn't help anyone.

Would you say that you're hitching a ride on the back of Londoners, by the way?

You seriously championing the "pulling out" method?
Maybe they have a religion that says their millions of sperm are all members of their tribe and to cum anywhere else is tantamount to murder.......Wouldn't surprise me.

I remember when I was a kid some guy came to our school to give a talk in assembly, he was like a Peace Corps member or something. He told a story about some African village that had population issues and they donated 3000 condoms to the village in order to stem the population.
A year later they returned to find the issue hadn't gotten better and when asked, the village members said they had been keeping the bright coloured charms under their pillows to ward away pregnancy but it hadn't worked. <doh>

That story always stuck with me.
