I would say that I abhor racial profiling and wish we could do away with it, but sadly think it is a necessary evil, for now at least.

The statistics suggest that black people are no more likely to be arrested following a search than white people.
They're being disproportionately searched based upon thinking like that which you displayed in your last comment.
Are young white men more likely to commit knife crime then young Black men?
Compare it to when a wife is murdered. The police will look closely at the husband and then other men with connections to the wife. This must be distressing for the husband especially if he is innocent because he knows the police are not looking in the right place. Unfortunately, murderers of wives are a lot more likely to be the husband or other men. Does that show a level of sexism and women should be targetted equally? Is it unfair that the police will concentrate on the husband first?

Black people are twice as likely to be convicted per capita than white people. This shows that rather than searching black people twice as much as whites which would be logical given their likelihood to commit crime the proportion is a lot less. In other words, whites are being treated unfairly.

I get the joke - but in all seriousness there are a lot of other people who could have committed the murder but the police go for the husband first then prioritise other men unless they have a specific reason to go for a woman.In that scenario, I can't see the wife being a suspect.
They don't just drag in random men as they happen to be men.
No, they select them by using a profile that is based upon lots of experience and statistics.

Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is a saying that's changed over time.
It's supposed to mean something that's impossible. Think about physically doing it. You can't.
Freeman seems to be under the impression that a lot of successful people are.
They got there, so anyone else that hasn't is to blame for that themselves. I disagree.
