They're desperately trying to hide boring Stan's pleasure in the death and suffering of the migrants, rather than have to be honest and condemn him as they would do if 'the other side' posted similar.
There's nothing to think about, for me anyway. You don't understand the difference between their share of the vote going up 5% and their number of votes doing so.
No excuse. There's been less offensive pictures used by accident that caused greater indignation.
I don't see any of those calling for tighter controls talikng pleasure in the suffering or using it for pathetic attmepts to point score.

I'm defending his words because he's not taking joy in the fact the story occurred. He's using it to mock the ridiculous xenophobia shown by your mates (but not you because you don't ever agree with them, of course). You aren't actually offended by it but are just using it to try and score points yourself.
