If that's not diversionary I don't know what is. You said Farage left a mark on British history. I said so did Haw-Haw. I did not compare them, I pointed out that they were opposites.
And it's 'compare with' not 'compare to' by the way.

and before that?

Some thick **** was comparing the democratically and legally elected Farage to Lord Haw Haw.

You're right, you don't know what diversionary is. Fortunately, I do. <ok>

I think Farage achieved a lot more - UK leaving the EU than William Joyce did - broadcasting radio messages.

The "intellectual" mask has slipped <laugh>

So where in Hull are you from? Post a pic. No chance <laugh>

I'm not, nor have never claimed to be an intellectual.

I've never felt the need to say where I'm from. I leave that to the weak and shallow that think it proves something.

The debate is about the EU. Bizarrely, some think making a discussion personal somehow hides their inadequacies and the weakness of their argument.

It doesn't. <ok>

You are as thick as ****. <ok>

Rattled?

What the **** are you babbling on about now you ******? <laugh>

Jeez, imagine how low you'd have to sink if "lightning " was coming to your aid. <laugh>
Double spacing must be the new using capital letters to shout. Still waiting for you to tell me the link between making a mark on British history and being elected. I also agree with you as you do know how to be diversionary.

I'm still waiting for you to explain your non-sequitur.

Oh dear, oh dear. I see Stan the office junior and his colostomy bagged support act that likes to take pictures of random communal paddling pools are still getting their arses handed to them by the Hull contingent. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Will you remoaners ever learn or are you determined to outdo HIAG in making total ****s of yourselves every time you post your drivel? <doh>

At least Tobes the teenage tourettes sufferer seems to have taken his tablets and calmed down of late. <ok>

LOLZY! <party>

Most people go to live in Spain because the climate and lifestyle is better.

I'll end up in Portugal as I love it over there. I certainly won't be scrapping away working out of a garage in Mitcham

Stan, mate. Look around, take your time. My first idea when I decided I didn't want to work anymore, but didn't fancy spending my retirement freezing my arse of over there, was The South Of France. I did look in both Provence and The Dordogne. Problem, at the time, was value. Prices had gone crazy and they were asking 100's thousands for derelict farmhouses in the arse end of nowhere that needed even more spent on them. Secondly, not warm enough in winter.

On to Portugal and The Algarve. That I did like. Saw some very nice places and very nearly bought there. I'm not a golfer though and a lot of what's there is very gold orientated. I Also wanted to look around Spain first.

Costa Del Sol. Not my sort of place. It doesn't mostly feel like Spain. And places like 'yer Marbella' are dreadful, IMO. Full of 'diamond geezers' from Essex and Russian gangsters. And the bling!.

I finally settled on where I bought as it has pretty much everything I wanted. It's quiet and civilised, but still within easy reach of all facilities. One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen anywhere is just 10 minutes away. Near enough for simple access, yet far enough that I don't get all the noise and madness this time of year when seemingly half of Spain comes down for their holidays!

I also wanted it to feel Spanish. To experience a different culture, pick up the language, etc, which I speak pretty well now. My neighbours are mostly Spanish, although there are some other Brits, plus Germans, Dutch, Swiss, amongst others.

It obviously depends on what your priorities are. But certainly, if you're intending to find a place where you want to live, it's a big decision. Take your time and look around.

The pool is approx 30ft x 15ft. Plenty big enough for even Yorkshire blimps to splash around in.

I'll leave Stan to respond to your comments about him. From what he knows about you, they should be interesting!..

Stan knows **** all about anything except where the stationery is kept :emoticon-0140-rofl:

That you swallow everything he tells you as fact just about sums you up tbh. A gullible old dodderer that believes any old ****, be it coming from an office cleaner or his own vivid imagination.

Anyways, enjoy the pool.
