Only she didn't keep quiet she did a TV interview with MarrShe kept quiet for career reasons. She didn't want to fall out with David Cameron.

Who would decide what portfolio they had? It sounds like a disaster.Yes, in the same way it would be reasonable for regional government's that have been democratically elected to put forward ministers.

In other words a politician solely motivated by personal ambition rather than the best interests of the people they serve. Certainly a smart cookie by putting the three brexiteers together to face the music whilst not dirtying her handsShe kept quiet for career reasons. She didn't want to fall out with David Cameron.
Oh I don't know, perhaps a prime minister they elected?Who would decide what portfolio they had? It sounds like a disaster.
No, it is a ridiculous notion. Each country putting up one person with nobody considering whether their skills are what is needed or they can work together. I would much rather have something like in the UK where the Prime Minister decides the composition of the government. You will agree then that it is democratic for elected governments to choose it's Representative to the European Commission, and for the heads of the member nations to choose the President of that body.
You don't understand the British people if you think that she wouldn't be held responsible for any failings in her government. In other words a politician solely motivated by personal ambition rather than the best interests of the people they serve. Oh come on!!No, it is a ridiculous notion. Each country putting up one person with nobody considering whether their skills are what is needed or they can work together. I would much rather have something like in the UK where the Prime Minister decides the composition of the government.
In the UK they have a leader elected by 300-odd MPs. That's much more democratic than 28 people proposed by one government each and then the 28 vote for a leader.Oh I don't know, perhaps a prime minister they elected?
We shall see,You don't understand the British people if you think that she wouldn't be held responsible for any failings in her government.
So democracy only works if there's a scale? In the UK they have a leader elected by 300-odd MPs. That's much more democratic than 28 people proposed by one government each and then the 28 vote for a leader.
When the PM selects his/her ministers there are only a limited number of candidates available, usually with a very limited range of skills. The choice of Commisioner, however has a far wider range of candidates and so is far more likely to be suitable for the job. Nobody could rightfully claim that Hunt has the necessary skills to be Secretary of State for Health. No, it is a ridiculous notion. That is true. But they are not elected in any way. When the PM selects his/her ministers there are only a limited number of candidates available, usually with a very limited range of skills. Wrong again. The 28 Commisioners do not select the President. That is decided by the heads of the 28 governmentsIn the UK they have a leader elected by 300-odd MPs. That's much more democratic than 28 people proposed by one government each and then the 28 vote for a leader.
Wrong as usual tubbywhy didn't she campaign to remain?
Try using logic. What is wrong with the Express?

Not wrong. I didn't say they were. I was commenting on a suggestion put forward at [HASHTAG]#2006[/HASHTAG].Wrong again. The 28 Commisioners do not select the President. That is decided by the heads of the 28 governments
Pete, you lack any credibility as long as you insist that May wasn't pro Remain. Her speeches confirm that she was.Not wrong. I didn't say they were. I was commenting on a suggestion put forward at [HASHTAG]#2006[/HASHTAG].
