Then quote your sources!

Just posting anything that praises Rafa or criticises or undermines any other manager without quoting sources just looks like an agenda - and a misguided one at that. Quoting your sources gives us the chance to decide if we think its journalists posting ****e (almost certainly), a twitter account seeking attention (almost always) or someone with genuine connections (very rare).

I personally think we let Rafman go and just continue to make **** up.

The abject failure at Everton has confirmed Rafa is done, and it’s tough for him. So let him play I say.

I almost feel sorry for Everton fans this weekend. Can you imagine seeing one of their favourite players in Digne lining up against them this weekend for former red Gerrard’s Villa? Rafa forced him out with his negative ideas as usual, and had they resisted bids, waited two weeks they’d still have him instead of one of their direct rivals. That’s the legacy of Rafael Benitez at Everton. You watch Everton improve when they get a new manager. Big Dunc will probably get a response. DCL will be back in form quickly and they’ll all play with a bit more freedom.

He wasn’t really wrong though. My initial view was that we shouldn’t go for any player who required a relegation clause.

I still think we shouldn’t but that’s easy for me to say as my job is not on the line. I would rather pay huge bonuses for staying up.

Exactly. You have a starting point which is great attitude to be honest, shows you want the best. But he always knew it may not be possible to stick to it if transfers don’t happen. You don’t lock yourself into it out of stubborness. He’s just been smart. He’s realised he is trying to sell a box sealed with fart inside at present. You don’t know that until the market gets underway. Done a lot right so far but of course needs results. I think if we get quality at centre back, centre midfielder, then people will quite rightly expect things to improve. We all know what’s needed. If we don’t improve the squad I think it’s foolhardy to expect much more improvement. We’ve all accepted the squad is one of the 3 worst. We shouldn’t expect miracles. Patience is required. However should we improve the squad in the key areas, I’d like to see results improve because it’s a results based business is management. If we leave him with Shelvey and Lascelles, I’m afraid the management structure above him have failed in their first assignment. Again though I’d have sympathy with the duck egg they were left with. It’s like selling sand to the arabs. You need skilled negotiators to get players into this **** show. I trust them but it’s more over the long term. They are clearly doing the best they can for him without being stupid.

They wouldn't have him at all. A few journos have said that Digne would have been sold no matter who was in charge as they needed a big sale in order to comply with FFP.

However, it has been said that Rafa didn't allow us to sign him as he is confident that he will be managing us again.

5 points from 3 games, including man utd and away to Leeds. Could/ should have won all three too!

But yeah, no improvement.
Today WAS an improvement because we won. And actually played rather well.

Let’s not forget that we needed a result which we got so let’s bask in it.

Leeds had a lot of players missing mind.

Patience.

Results against teams in the bottom 8 under Howe:

2 wins 3 draws 0 defeats

5 defeats (Man U, Arsenal, Man C, Liverpool, Leicester)

He’s gonna need a whole lot more, but I think we should be sat with at least 2 more wins on performance.

Guy is doing ok. Not great but given what he inherited in squad and confidence, he’s doing ok.
