The Development Squad thread

As you may or may not know I live a stone's throw from Dorchester Town FC, As my son is a hot striker in the u13's team plus it's good to 'support your local team' I got a season card for the Magpies on top of trying to catch the City games, Dorch are really bad, at the moment bottom of the league so the new manager has made his 1st signing - Harry Warwick from the rovers... any info please?

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Harry Warwick has joined The Magpies on a one-month youth loan deal from Bristol Rovers.

The striker, who becomes new manager Leigh Robinson’s first signing, is part of Rovers’ Development Squad and has previously spent loan spells at Gloucester City, Truro City and Gosport Borough.

Sorry mate, I don't know anything about him. I hear bright future but not sure as not seen him or hear much about him. The bright future tag just reminds me of a school report on a parents evening. A bit like.... "easily distracted" and "can do better" <laugh>

Development match played behind closed doors at Plymouth HT score 1-1 Sam Matthews equalised for Rovers
Josh Hare also starting for Rovers

Final score today 2 - 1 to the Rovers Zain Walker getting the winning goal.
Josh Hare completed 60 minutes Matthews looks as if he played 90

Good to see both Hare and Matthews back. Matthews should shine under BG's style. Hare was brilliant before his injury and he will free up Rodman for his natural position.

Kieran Phillips has signed his first professional contract with the Rovers 2 year deal that starts on July 1st 2020. He has travelled with the 1st team squad to get the feeling of what happens on matchday's. I wish him a long successful career with the Rovers and look forward to seeing him follow on from Ollie Clarke and Alfie kilgour into the 1st team
