So who used to watch Saints at the Dell?
Me living in Crawley, West Sussex was only available to buy a season ticket at the Dell for 94-95 season.
I used to sit at the Archers rd end, block 42. Around half way up the stand. I then had 2 seasons at St Mary's, before moving to Canada.

Milton Road 'boys box' first, then main terrace. Late 80s moved to the upper West on the halfway line. St Mary's now, Itchen after the first 2 years in the Kingsland

Used to be in East or West depending on tickets. Did St Mary's from 2001 until the third season in the Championship when we complete guff. Decided then to save my Saturdays to spend with my new baby and toddler. Tonight I need to go to Blandford to take same baby training ( in men's football). Where did the years go....

Originally in the Milton Road end then moved under the east stand. Always tried to get on the step in front of the crush barrier until the bench seats went in, then I always stood on the last step in the bit where the terrace tapered to a point behind the bench seats.

I lived in Crawley for a while. Where were you?

For one reason or another I never went to the Dell after the seats went in.

Many a happy (and otherwise) time spent either under the West Stand or on the Milton Road End from 1966 onwards though.

As a side note the apartments built on the dell site displays a “No Ball Games” sign by the entrance from Milton Road

Had a season ticket from 89 until we left. Family stand so Milton Road then moved to the side (forget which stand).

Good times. Except for Branfoot.

Only went to the Dell once sadly. Was a game against Liverpool and think we drew 1-1 after going behind, seem to remember them being in their cream kit. Anyone know the game? Would have been late 90s.

Would have loved to have gone in the time of the chocolate boxes. Way way before my time though.

Started in East with my dad on an orange box when I was about 6. I remember he would get me in for free by telling me to go under the turnstile & joking with the ticket man. Early 60’s. Did a lot in Milton, West, no East & Archers; all terraces. Only did seats on a couple occasions. Seen all of the magical Dell games. Best memories ever …. and a few heartbreaks.

Started watching early 90s when Milton Road was still terraced. Would always stand at the front of the upper tier. Then when it became all seater moved to Archers Road, season ticket most of that decade.

Let's keep this thread going.
Anybody got any stories, about their experiences at the Dell.
One I remember was getting a ball full in the face from David May of Man U, as they where warming up! It's lucky I had a few beers before hand, as it numbed the pain! Lol

I remember fondly a time where Branfoot was walking out to the pitch, and someone threw a tangerine at him. Hit him square on the bonce.
