I voted "happy with all of these," although I guess I'm not totally happy with any of them.

I would say that the defensive midfield has been a bit inconsistent for my liking, and maybe only average-ish overall. I think it needs to improve.

That said, I also predict that next season they will be much better. So I don't view it as a high priority for us. Even if Wanyama leaves, I would like us to use Reed.

I don't know who might emerge next year or who we will play or if we will rotate. But I'm not too worried about it. RK will figure it out.

As has been said, when Vic is in 'beast mode' he's the most effective (as a stopper) of the three, but by the same token if Romeu and Clasie continue their rate of improvement, I don't think losing Vic in the summer will be an unmitigated disaster. I hold no fear of Romeu/Clasie with Reed in reserve for next season. It's the person in front of that which I think needs improving.

I'd like to see Harrison Reed break into the defensive midfield position.

Agreed - he must be really disappointed/frustrated with how this season has gone. Just 20minutes of league action all year. Shame really, as I quite liked the look of him last year. Hope he can push himself through next year.

If we lose Big Vic, I would like us to buy Kirchhoff from Sunderland who has been excellent in a poor team

Do you ever get the feeling that Saints look at who the fans want to sign and then cross them off the list? I'm expecting us to sign players we've scarcely thought about or have never heard about.
I know what you mean, but Virgil Van Dijk and Jordy Clasie were on everyone's radar long before they were actually signed. Going further back, the same was true of Jay Rodriguez, Billy Sharpe, Jack Cork, and Jason Puncheon from memory, and no doubt there are others. Gastòn Ramirez and Dani Osvaldo spring to mind!

And Charlie Austin ... pretty much the whole fanbase were calling out for him.
