Must admit I've been proved wrong with him. He was so awful when he joined it was unreal but he's come on leaps and bounds, definitely one of the best in the league.

He wasn't as bad as the media tried to make people believe. Sure he made a few errors early on, but he was still showing signs that he was a future world class keeper. He was just an easy target for the media because he was so young, and came with a hefty price tag. Had we signed a more established well known keeper and he had made similar errors, then a lot less would have been said about it. It really was a witch hunt against the poor lad, so it's great to see that he's proving the critics wrong time and time again with his performances.

De Gea could still improve a little bit on his decision making, though that will come with experience, but his reflexes and diving are better than any other keeper in the PL

De Gea always had the attributes to become a great keeper when at Atletico (as has Courtois) but he never had the physical presence to command the six yard box, he is getting better with this. Courtois has everything and i expect him to be classed as one of, if not the best keeper in the world in the next five years.

Believe me it definitely wasn't the media who influenced my judgement. I always though he was a brilliant shot stopper but nothing more, didn't think he had the nous to command his area or the bravery to do other things but like I said he's come on leaps and bounds. Key attribute to a world class keeper is consistency and De Gea now has that.

Courtois is very good too, Chelsea really should bring him back, and get rid of Cech. Cech's a good keeper, but I don't think he is capable of the brilliant acrobatics, that a De Gea or a Courtois can pull off. Cech's decision making is better than Courtois, at the moment and it might take Courtois a little while to get used to the PL , but in time they will eventually have a more complete keeper than Cech

I'm sort of with you but we do have to respect what Cech has done for this club. Wonderful servant and probably the most consistent keeper I've ever seen, especially at Chelsea. We need to put future over sentiment though, and Courtois could well be the world's best for the next 10-15 years. It's a strange situation and funnily Courtois is the one who can call the shots.

Valdes - 'David is a great keeper, especially when you think how young he. I think he will be one of the best for many years.'

Mad that hes the best keeper in the league after his start.

His mental attitude and confidence in his own ability as well as the clear quality he has will see him as tge worlds number one soon enough.

Dont cry either if you dont think hes the best. Youre probably just not important enough.

Wow, what a keeper we have, he just made the save of the season from a Gareth Barry shot, he's the reason why we won today.
