This is what I think will happen:

(1) If Arsenal finish outside of the Top 4 this season, then Wenger will look at his own performance and say it's not good enough and he'll walk. We'll probably appoint an interim manager from within the club to hold the fort, whilst the club work on his long term successor

(2) If Arsenal do finish in the Top 4 then Wenger will stay for 1-2 more seasons and announce that it is his last contract, and the club will work on his successor in earnest.

I could be wrong, but I think this is how Wenger and the club will manage the situation.

Not really.
A real Arsenal fan wants what is best for the club.
An FA Cup win may keep Wenger and that **** house crew of board members at the club.
If a defeat makes Wenger leave, then I would be rooting for it as an Arsenal fan too.

i dont see how any Arsenal fan can be pro Wenger at this stage.
Sacrifice the battle to win the war.

The thought of losing to a non league side in the quarter finals of the fa cup 4 days after a CL humiliation is too much.
It will be too much humiliation for any Arsenal fan (pro or anti wenger) to cope with and too much fun for the rest of us.
Honestly can not see a single arsenal fan wanting them to lose.

What are we thinking for Arsenals top 4 chances now?

My revised top 4 is now:

Chelsea
Man City
Man United
Spurs
Arsenal
Liverpool

I hope you're right but I think normal service will resume.

Arsenal will now go on a great run until the end of the season, get top 4, and Wenger will convince himself that he is one midfielder away from being champions and stay on.

Let's take your second scenario.
You finish in the top four but don't win the FA Cup and Wenger says he's staying for a year.
The club announce that they're going to use it as a transitional season to bring in a long-term successor.

How do you think that this would go down with the fans?

Overall I think it would be greeted fairly well. There are those who want him gone yesterday, so they will kick up a stink, but for the reasons I've mentioned previously, sacking Wenger with no clear successor would be suicide.

Arsenal leading Lincoln 1-0 at half-time.

If they can hold on to this and win the match, it will be a massive result for them.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, 28, and forward Alexis Sanchez, 28, are demanding wages in line with midfielder Paul Pogba's £290,000-a-week salary at Manchester United. (London Evening Standard)

That probably rules them out of coming to Spurs.

If money is more important to them, then I suggest that they go to China.

Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere, 25, says he does not know whether he will be with the Gunners, Bournemouth - where he is on a season-long loan - or another club next season. (Daily Mail)

England?

Can he really be considered an International player, these days? It's not as if he's ever going to play for England again, not while the Spurs lads are there, at least.

Arsenal keeper Petr Cech, 34, has denied his team-mate Alexis Sanchez was laughing when the two were sat on the bench during their side's 5-1 Champions League hammering by Bayern Munich last week.(Telegraph)

So what? It's not as if he's going to be at Arsenal, come the Summer.
