South Africa thrashed Australia by an innings and 80 runs in Hobart to win the three-Test series with a match to spare.
It is South Africa's third successive Test series win in Australia, following victories in 2008-09 and 2012-13.
Resuming on 121-2, Australia lost 8-32 inside 20 overs as they were bowled out for 161 on the fourth morning.
"I am embarrassed. We've lost five Tests in a row and that's humiliating," said Australia captain Steve Smith.

Watching test this morning, very good to see, and quite prominent, a St George flag with 'Pride of Hampshire' on it with 'Saints away' in one corner and the club crest in another.
If you are still watching the cricket , can you turn the TV off please ? We may get a wicket then .
If the pitch turns, we could be on to a loser. Otherwise another draw on the cards....a big prediction on day 1.
I hate run outs...unnecessary. However, all experience for Hameed.....he is quite a find. Played with adults at twelve and wasn't allowed to play for his school in his last year as he ruined it for everyone else.
