So frustrating. If only our batsmen had performed better. Oh well, a draw is not impossible.

 

I did say we had to win the first test while we were on top.

Three early wickets, but we've been there before. Both England and India have recovered after losing initial wickets.

We bowled them out for 205. Presently England are 40-0. Need just another 365.

 

75-1 Hameed out on 25 after a valiant effort.

I was just about to post 75-0 is ok.....

 

We do bat in depth...outside chance if we get some partnerships going. Depends on how the pitch behaves after three days. We
have all the time in the world if we take no chances.

Gutted for him. Doubtfull we can bat the day tomorrow, but stranger things have happened

 

We have several batsmen capable of a hundred given time, but it is a massive ask.

 

Duckett and Root, not to mention Moeen, Stokes, and Bairstow, are quite capable of batting all day tomorrow and scoring the winning runs, but cricket isn't a theoretical game!
