What a day. Seriously good bowling from England and Starc with some awful shots in there as well. England have a great chance tomorrow to take charge.

Or to completely collapse and let the Aussies back in. That's the beauty of it. Could really go either way in that sense.

The one thing England have in their favour is that for the Aussies it's Starc or bust. In the 2nd innings England wll hopefully just see him off and attack the other bowlers. Aussies can't do that with us.

Great days cricket. A one innings game. Get a lead of over 300 and England will be favourites. Another early start tomorrow as think this will only be a 3 day game.

Well not unless Australia put on 40 odd for the last wicket. England still have a decent lead.

Malan has left Yorkshire. Would take him at Hants, even if he is 38.
Yes, was coming on here to see if anyone else had picked that up. It does state that he's after a new challenge/club, i.e. not retiring. He didn't play that many 4 day games for Yorkshire so it would require a big commitment from him, unless we're happy to accept another white-ball only player.

That is the worst umpire review I have ever seen in cricket.
5 minutes to make a decision which was still inconclusive after that amount of time

Disagree as on field was not out and spike frame matched to ball clearly not in contact with bat or glove. But that’s sport
It was a big enough spike for me to accept it. And the fact that Smith walked without complaint spoke volumes.

Smith at first said he didn’t hit it, he only started walking when the small spike appeared on the big screen.
