I guess Wheal being fit again means he'll come in for Baker for the QF so it's not a disaster. Still leaves us with Wood, Currie, Wheal, Fuller and Howell as our seam options plus Daws which is still pretty good. But the form Baker has been in lately still makes it a blow.

Not even sure he'd be available for Finals Day should be get there with the Ireland series starting only a few days after that.

I would imagine he'd be allowed to play at Finals Day (if we make it). It's 10 days between the final SA ODI and the first Ireland t20. And he'd only be bowling a maximum of eight overs.

I'd imagine SA will announce their own squad shortly. If Brevis and Pretorius are both called up again, then I'd be looking to get Lynn back for the QF (alongside Cartwright). But the choice for Finals Day (should we get there) is a lot tougher, because we could instead go Fortain to replace Dawson.

I'd think we'd have to go with Fortuin for Finals Day as a frontline spinner would be a must.

Ordinarily I'd agree.

But if Weatherley is injured and Prest is still out of form... Well, Vince and Albert would have to go well!

We're potentially screwed either way.

I do think Currie can count himself unlucky to miss out on the Ireland squad, given that some of the bigger names are rested.

In the meantime, it's nice to see Orr going along well here.

Well done, Ali.

Now hopefully we knock off the remaining runs super quickly, because our NRR could do with a boost (and theirs a hit).

With the amount of wickets falling to left arm spin in this first game - especially with how the ball is sticking in the wicket - Briggs must be a consideration to play in the second match, particularly if Jordan misses out with his injury.

Yep. We've both gone with a extra spinner. Makes a lot of sense after watching the women's game.

On a decent surface we should be getting 150 from here. But this isn't a decent surface, and I think 135 could be alright.
