That couldn't have gone much better.

And if it is to be a re-match with Leicester in the final, then you would like to think we'd be a stronger prospect this time with Weatherley, Dawson and Wheal in the side.

Hmm, interesting. Commentators are saying there's a good chance that Handscomb and Mulder wouldn't be around for the final, if Leics make it as it now looks like they will. They've got Hill already in the team who can keep (or Swindells) but losing both would certainly affect both their batting and bowling balance. Mulder has been opening the bowling for them as well as being a key middle order player.

I'm not listening/watching, but it would make sense if they're correct. Handscomb's domestic Aussie season starts nine days after the one-day final, and Mulder's domestic SA season starts four days after the one-final. Both teams will presumably want them involved in pre-season before then.

We managed to get McKenzie to play in the 2012 final, but I think that involved him landing back in London that morning and then flying straight back out to the SA the next day. So it can happen. But I wouldn't be banking on it.

If Harry Brook doesn’t go to the WC it is a joke…

There's no need for six seamers in Indian conditions. Especially when none of them will bat in the top six. So (for the second WC running), I'd be dropping Willey in order to accommodate Brook.

But failing that, if they insist on keeping their bowlers, then I think it would have to Roy.

Given that I don't think we have anything tangible to play for, I'm fine with us playing Prest and Albert. I'd be open to them playing in all our matches this month.
