Very surprised by Somerset's decision to bat first for a number of reasons:
1. It's early April and the ball is going to swing massively
2. Somerset can't bat and their middle order/tail is weakened
3. Vince leaves the game at lunch today and misses the last 2 sessions of the day. If they had stuck us in, it would have forced Vince to bat higher up the order and exposed him to the new ball. Or gamble and hope we aren't bowled out on day 1.
Maybe the pitch looks a belter.

Great start to the season for Hants, Somerset 4 down for less than 50, this is the key partnership i'd like to see broken early.
I was surprised earlier at Somerset's decision to bat, now I'm totally bemused. The pitch had a green tinge to it this morning so the time to bowl on it was this morning. Oh, bowled him!
Always good to see the back of Davies, it's all about Hildreth and how he plays with the lower order now, a couple of quick wickets after lunch and it could be a very low total.
